Today we will see how you can enable or disable Windows Script Host on any windows.
What is Windows Script Host:
The Windows Script Host service has been included with the Windows operating system since Windows 98. It provides scripting abilities to users, similar to that of batch files, but with more options and features. Having Windows Script Host enabled in Windows allows users to execute VB.script and Java.Script files.
Warning:
Due to exploitation by some malware programs, Windows Script Host service is often disabled automatically in Windows to prevent security issues.
Enabling Windows Script Host:
To enable or disable Windows Script Host,Just follow the steps,
1.
Press WIN+RThis will open a run box on your machine.
2.
Now type regedit.exe in Run box and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.
3.
Navigate to the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings
4.
In the right panel, you will see Enabled.Double click on this.
5.
If you see the entry 0, it means that the Windows Script Host access is disabled on your Windows machine. So now type 1 instead of 0 in Value data field.
6.
Click on OK and exit the Registry. And you have done.2nd method:
Enable Windows Script Host access using the Registry Editor delete method.Just follow the steps:
1.
Press WIN+RThis will open a run box on your machine.

Now type regedit.exe in Run box and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.3.
Navigate to the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings
4.
Delete the value named enabled.
### If a key doesn’t exist, ignore it.
5.
